Quebec changed what flavours you can buy — but the rules change the moment you cross into Ontario. Here's where flavoured vaping products are legal near the Quebec border, and where to find the full range. Current as of June 2026.
In short:
- Since October 31, 2023, Quebec allows the sale of tobacco-flavoured vapes only — fruit, dessert, mint and menthol are no longer sold in the province.
- In Ontario, the full flavoured range stays legal for adults 19+ — sold through specialty vape shops like ours.
- Our Hawkesbury store sits right on the Ontario–Quebec border; our Ottawa store is across the river from Gatineau — an easy drive for adults in the Outaouais and Lower Laurentians.
- As a specialty vape retailer we carry the full lineup from every major Canadian brand — disposables, e-liquid, pods and hardware.
What changed for flavours in Quebec?
Since October 31, 2023, Quebec permits the sale of vaping products in tobacco flavour only, under the province's Tobacco Control Act. Fruit, dessert, mint and menthol profiles are no longer sold by retailers in Quebec. The restriction applies to what can be sold inside the province, under the framework administered through the Gouvernement du Québec's Tobacco Control Act.
Flavoured vapes are legal in Ontario
Ontario hasn't restricted flavours — but it does control where they're sold. The full non-tobacco range (fruit, dessert, mint, menthol and more) is legal for adults 19 and older, and in Ontario it can only be sold in specialty vape shops like ours — not convenience stores or gas stations. Two federal rules apply everywhere in Canada: nicotine is capped at 20 mg/mL, and all products must meet Health Canada's child-resistant and labelling requirements.
Our stores are right by the border
Both Supa Vapes stores are in Ontario. Our Hawkesbury location sits directly on the Ontario–Quebec border, and our Ottawa store is across the river from Gatineau — so for adults in the Outaouais, Argenteuil and the Lower Laurentians, an Ontario-side shop is often a short drive.
What you'll find in store
Selling the full flavour range in Ontario takes a specialty vape retailer — it's the kind of store the province allows to carry the complete non-tobacco lineup — so not every shop can stock what we do. At our Ontario counters, adults 19+ can shop the full selection from every major Canadian brand: disposable vapes, e-liquid, pods and hardware — the flavours and devices you won't find on a convenience-store shelf. All applicable excise tax is already included in the shelf price, and many disposables qualify for our mix & match deal.
